Hook, Line and Sinker

Welcome to Pure Innocence preview day from My Favorite Things!!  Love this day, it is always a fun one! Today we've got lots of cuties to share with you.  I'm working with the new Pure Innocence: Goldfish stamp set, this is perfect timing because my son's first grade classroom just got their first pet, a fish!  I've just restocked on this gorgeous Kraft Ribbon - it's safe to say I'm in LOVE with it.

You all seemed to like the crazy stitching I did on my á la modes card yesterday, so of course, I gave it a whirl again today. Three crazy passes around the edge. Then some carefully placed zig-zag stitching in key places....

Since there were so many cute fun sentiments, I went ahead and finished off the inside of the card as well.  Once again, I've reached for the File Tab Die-namics for both my inside and out sentiment treatments.

I've had a blast stamping away for this release and I still have at least two more projects to share.  I hope you've had fun peeking at all the new goodies and that you've found a thing (or two) you'll want to bring home with you each month!

All the latest stamps and Die-namics will be available on Tuesday night at 10pm EST.  Join us again tomorrow for the Pre-Releaese Pep rally. I'm just putting the finishing touches on tomorrow's project....

UR Sweet

Today is the á la modes preview day for the upcoming release at My Favorite Things.  Today, there are two cuties to share with you. I've opted to stamp with I've Got UR Back today.  I adore the variety of sentiments you can use to work with the "UR".  But paired with the new Pretty Party paper from Crate Paper - I chose the berry paper and berry sentiment too.

I love the larger size of this image, since there wasn't a lot of additional space on the card front, I did some crazy stitching all around the border, added a sentiment flag and used the Fringed Perennial along with one of the new Mini Royal Roses for my embellishment.

One of the smaller Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics was used for the sentiment.  Those sure are handy little treasures!

Be sure to visit the MFT Blog today for a full list of designers with samples to share with you today!

Stamp and Die-namics Duo Day!

Today I've got DOUBLE My Favorite Things previews for you.  I had enough time to get both of today's previewing sets inky.  I happen to adore both of the sets that we're sharing with you today, so I was glad that I was able to get something pulled together with each of them.

The first preview I have for you is using Vertical Greetings II.  I am a *big* fan of the original Vertical Greetings set so I'm thrilled that the collection has expanded. This set contains four new, beautiful sentiments.  I've paired it with patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket and the Die-namics Fringed Perennial.   The coordinating leaves were cut with the Royal Leaves Die-namics onto corrugated cardboard. Just a peek of the Mini Scallop Edge is peeking out from beneath the vintage trim.

If I haven't recommended this Kraft Ribbon to you yet, you really *must* add a bit of it to your cart.  Its my favorite

The second set we're sharing today is the Girly Graphic Tee Stamp set and Die-namics.  Let me say this, I live in graphic tees.  Being that I work from home, I load up on a fresh set of them at the beginning of the summer and I mix and match them with jeans, capris, shorts and cardigans.  I used the "have hope" sentiment and added a bit of detail to the shirt with the Finishing Flourishes stamp set.  I'm using the MFT Ribbon in black.  Patterned paper is from a few collections of the My Mind's Eye 6x6 pads.

I've used two of the new Vintage Label Die-namics, I actually cut both a black and ledger from the largest shape, then cut the center out with a smaller version of the black one to act as a frame.  These teeny embellishments in the corner come from a My Mind's Eye embellishment packet, but you could just as easily cut them with our Mini Pennants

Be sure to head on over to the MFT Blog today for a listing of ALL the designers with previews for you today!

How to use Die-namics for Scene Building.....

Today's Feature Friday I'm going to share something I love... combining my stamps and Die-namics to do a little scene building. We've got loads of Die-namics that work well for this, no matter what the season.  Our product lineup includes our Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics, two types of Cloud Die-namics, our Teardrop Tree Die-namics, the Sheltering Tree Die-namics, Icicle Die-namics as well as the Branch with Leaves.  Please be sure to check out out full line of Die-namics, to check out all your options.

For today, I put together a beachy little scene with the Pure Innocence: Make a Splash paired with the Catch a Wave Die-namics and put the new Die-namics Designer Label 1 STAX to work. I've embellished with the new Photo Corners Die-namics, as well as the Pretty Posies Die-namics,  I added a sentiment with the help of the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.

I stamped, colored and paper pieced the image and then this little video will show you how to combine the finished image with Die-namics for a quick, cute scene....

Be Original

I'm thrilled to share today's Triple Scoop Stamp Set - Clearly Sentimental about Art.  In addition to the fabulous sentiments, I'm in love with the new mixes of fonts!  I've tucked a boatload of Die-namics previews into today's card... ready for a closer look?

To get started, I reached for the Deconstructed Sketch for my layout and these fun patterned papers that I grabbed at my LSS from Pink Paislee.  The sentiment was added to two layers of the Die-namics Rectangle STAX.  I aded a little bit of corrugated cardboard stitched in place....

I used the new Large Die-namis Royal Rose (cut twice for a multilayer bloom) and layered it over the Large Leafy Flourish Die-namics.  The fishtail element is easy-peasy to cut with Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics.

Check out this adorable Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics.  It will cut a tiny scalloped edge onto any size patterned paper, so you can add a scalloped edge to any depth of paper...  isn't it sweet and delicate?

Be sure to hop on over to the MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples for you today.

Remember that the new Triple Scoop: Clearly Sentimental about Art will be FREE with your purchase of $60 or more (excluding tax and shipping) beginning on Tuesday, May 3st at 10pm EST.

Here's a peek at the NEW Die-namics that are included on my project today....

Chez Paris....

This week's Wednesday Stamp Club is a fun one, though I have a mountain of laundry to do, I was excited to get back on track with this week's Wednseday Stamp Club from My Favorite Things.  I am going to *try* to use my older MFT stamps and Die-namics for the weekly sketch, though I can't promise that from time to time, I might not feel the NEED to use a new one.

I chose this beautiful Who's That Girl Goes to Paris for this week's sketch, and paired it with this beautiful patterned paper from Glitz Design. I've been using this new Fringed Perennial Die-namics a lot the last few days. Today I cut two of the smaller flowers in the Die-namics set.

Be sure to play along in the WSC from MFT each week for YOUR chance at winning the weekly prize. You'll find the list of designers with samples for you today on the MFT Blog

Tee-Riffic

Hooray my friends, I'm so excited to start sharing projects created with the fun new products from My Favorite Things.  Our next release will be this coming Tuesday, May 1st at 10pm EST!

Today two new sets are being unveiled, and I'm working with the newest Who's That Girl: Who's that Girl Plays Golf.  My husband and my two boys both love to golf, so guess what I'm going to be learning to do this year. That's right. Golf.  I am not the greatest with hand eye coordination, but it seems that they aren't all so keen on hanging around all weekend while I stamp the day away.

Be sure to visit the MFT Blog today for a full list of designers with samples for you!
You'll find previews each day for the next week - can't wait to share....

Buttercup Baby Tag

Good morning!  I've been a little crazy behind the scenes trying to get ready for the upcoming release at My Favorite Things, but I had one of my FAVORITE crafty projects to attend to, a little gift for a sweet friend who had a baby.  On our way to DC, I was lucky enough to finally get to meet our friends's firstborn son. (Oh my goodness, he's beautiful and such a sweet little baby!)  I popped over to my *favorite* place for baby gifts, Magic Beans and then created a little gift tag to adorn the packaging.

I pulled the My Favorite Things: Clearly Sentimental about Babies, as well as my Circle STAX Die-namics, the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and several of my flower building Die-namics.  Since this is a tag, and not a card, I had the opportunity to make the fishtail flags hang below the bottom border....

I simply adore this sentiment......I reached for my new Lily Bee Buttercup 6x6 patterned paper pack.

I am loving cutting the Royal Rose Die-namics from two contrasting papers for a fuller effect.  I've also added in the Scalloped Rolled Flower from Puff Cloud White Felt.  When making a tag, or bookmark, I always go back and finish off the back as well so that it is fully finished and nice and neat looking.  Easy to do just use the remnants of paper front the front of your project!

Flags on Friday....

Happy Friday friends!  I've been in DC all this week with my husband and boys on April Vacation, and its been exhausting, um, I mean perfectly lovely!  Someone I live with seems to have an unrealistic view of how far young children are willing to walk, no matter how beautiful the weather, or how lovely the scenery... little legs only take you so far. My legs, though not so little are also killing me as we took out the paddle boats the other day.  Ouch!

While vacation has been fun for sure, I'm looking forward to spending some crafty time at home once they're settled in and I've started a new battle with the laundry...  There will be a *mountain* of it facing me when we get home....

I was able to stamp up this sweetheart before I left. This is Pure Innocence Poppy and I've paired her with the new Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and a trio of flowers - Rolled Flower, Rolled Scallop Flower and the Pretty Posies.  I've added the Button Quartet to one of the flowers for a little accent.

I've done a little video for the MFT Blog today on the Fishtail Flags STAX - if you wanted to see more information on the product, be sure to stop by today and read it HERE.

Chase those dreams....

Right now, it is April Vacation and my boys are home for the week.  With a nearly 10 year old and a nearly 7 year old, I'm doing more chasing of small boys than chasing of my dreams.  Truth be told, I'm chasing all their dreams, or working my hardest this week to make theirs come true.  Then again, that's what its all about....

I think I'll need a vacation from our vacation as usual, a big breath as they all head back to school and work.  Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with them while they're home, but ....yikes.... I'm exhausted from being on Mom Duty all week!

I got to sneak in some crafty time to prepare a sample for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. Be sure to play along each week for YOUR chance at a prize!  This sketch is perfect for some stamping and coloring, but I chose the Vertical Greetings for a quick(er) card. I can hardly believe I used colored ink myself. I never seem to have a match, so I was *tickled* that this worked out.
A little patterned paper embellie with the Butterflies Die-namics, and of course a polka dotted fishtail thanks to my beloved STAX Fishtail Flags.  Scalloped Trim created with the Simply Scallops Die-namics.

Patterned paper is from Authentique this collection is called Delightful....  Here is this week's sketch, and I SURE do hope you'll play along!

Quick Cards with MFT

Both of my boys have birthday parties for friends, and as usual for whatever reason, I don't have a single boy card ready.  Thank goodness for my Die-namics and stamps from MFT.  I love these for "quicker" cardmaking.  I sure do love coloring up my Pure Innocence images, but as my boys get older, they're not into cute cards they want something more boy-ish.

The MFT You Tube channel has a new Feature Friday video featuring lots of our Die-namics and Stamp Combinations.  Trust me when I say these will truly speed your cardmaking for when you need a card right now!   Here's my sample today showing a card that I put together quickly pulling lots of boy-ish accents.  It's not too fussy, and it didn't take me all afternoon to put together. Score!
Son number one is heading out to a movie birthday party. And voila!  This card came together quickly!

I paired the At the Movies Stamp Set and Die-namics along with a fun edge using the new Pinking Edge Die-namics and of course, added a bit of the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.  Woo hoo! Check it out, the number set in the At the Movies lets me customize a big old "9" for the birthday boy.  My Star Border Die-namics made a perfect matchy accent to fill up the extra space.

I finished off the inside easy peasy adding in my Mini Film Strip Border and another accent from the At the Movies Set.  They're going to see the new Stooges movie, so I created a "comedy" ticket.

(and yeah me, I dug so deeply into this paper pack that I can justify using some of the NEW paper I just picked up....)

Hooray!  Got both the birthday cards done for the boys parties, and ready to move onto the next to do list.  Have a great weekend and I hope you get some crafty time!

By the numbers.....

Is it just me, or when you have new paper, do you need to use it immediately?  It doesn't matter that I had 972,000 things that needed to be done today. This paper (Echo Park, Note to Self) needed to be used.  And, okay, one of the things on my list today is a birthday card for my son's friend. Another thing is wrapping the present...but both of those things are WAY more interesting than laundry, mopping or cooking dinner.

So, the card wins.  I'm using the Sweet Sunday Sketch for my inspiration this week, though I've tucked in a little extra panel. Couldn't help myself.  That number paper was too fun NOT to be included.  Though its a bit busy, so it had to get tucked in the back...

By the Numbers is a MUST have if you ask me.  It includes a Die-namics for the numbers 0-9 and then a great companion stamp set.  Add it to the Tag, You're It set and voila, easy birthday cards on demand.  Maybe you'll be better at keeping them handy than I am.  More on that topic tomorrow....

Of course, I haven't put my Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics away yet, I am really having a blast with them.  Sure hope you aren't sick of them yet, because I created two more cards using them that you'll see in the next week or so.

Have a GREAT night.  Me, I'm off to fight with the remaining million things on that to do list of mine.

Design Team Creative Challenge

Welcome to the My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Challenge.  Each month, we're asked to work within a special theme or technique, or with a particular product line. With Mother's Day right around the corner, we wanted to create lots of samples for you to help you get a jump start on YOUR Mother's Day projects.

I've had an idea with the Paper Doll Border in my head for weeks, and today's little assignment was just the right timing. I paired the new Jumbo Banner Day STAX with Paper Doll Die-namics cut from corrugated cardboard, and then popped up just ONE of the paper dolls in pink paper.  That one there, she's the best mom ever. :)  That teeny tiny heart is from the Notched Tag Die-namics.  The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental About Mothers

In keeping with the "fresh and clean" feel of my first card, I kept playing with those fun STAX Jumbo Banner Day elements, and pulled out my beloved By the Letters Die-namics too. I went diving through my button jar and got covered in my crackle white paint.  I do love this cheery sentiment, also from Clearly Sentimental About Mothers.

Be sure to head on over to the MFT Blog today for lots of samples from my pals on the MFT Design Team. I'm sure you'll find some projects that jumpstart creative ideas for your upcoming Mother's Day stamping.  Have fun!
